Rachel Daughn received her certification as a Canine Training and Behavior Specialist in 2003 and has been training dogs professionally ever since. Her love of dogs was realized at the age of 10 years old, when she decided she wanted to be able to “speak” to them. Being a trainer has brought her as close as possible to that goal. Rachel’s knowledge of animals and her ability to understand their needs are just a few examples of why people continue to ask her for help and her referrals are continuous. Group Class Training: Training in this environment with other dogs and people is an opportunity to socialize your dog. Although they don’t get to interact with others, they learn to be calm in distracting situations.
Weekly Board and Train: This is a great opportunity for your dog to learn a few basic obedience skills or brush up on some long forgotten skills. This package includes a brief evaluation with the trainer to reach mutually agreeable goals; 6 nights/7 days of boarding; five hours training with the dog; one play time per day; one lesson with you to show off how well your dog did and what you need to do to continue the wonderful accomplishments of your dog. Two week board and trains are the most effective.

Hourly Training: Includes a mini-private lesson at pick up to see how we worked with your dog. Great for refresh training, learning a trick, etc.
Specialized Training: Customized training program in a calm environment at the trainer’s home. This is good for a dog that may not be getting the concept of housetraining. There are many other advantages to specialized training.
Private Lessons: On-site and off-site private lessons are offered. This is when the trainer works one-on-one with the owner and the dog.
Evaluations Available: This is set up for the trainer to briefly meet the client and their dog and make training recommendations. There is no training involved.
Behavior Workshops/Seminars: Periodic seminars, one to two hours long, covering topics such as chewing, house training, no jumping, nutrition, loose leash walking, and health care are offered. See Events Calendar for schedule.
