Canine Massage - 30 Minutes
|
If you've ever had a professional massage, you know what great health and wellness benefits it can provide. Why not extend this to our animal friends? Animals can benefit from massage for the same reasons as people. Dogs are especially suited for massage with their accepting nature.
Massage can help dogs:
Massage is a way to detect changes in your dog's health, which may not be evident to the eye. While not a substitute for veterinary advice, massage is a low-cost and safe supplement to your dog's care. Massage has no harmful side effects; it is non-invasive and supports the body's own healing process.
Katie Cook is a graduate of LSU Medical Center with a BS in Occupational Therapy. Since 1999, she has been working as a Registered Occupational Therapist.
