Meet the Owners: Charlotte Biggs and Betty Gale

Experiencing a variety of care environments for her dogs when she traveled extensively for work, planted the idea of a better way in Charlotte Biggs’ mind. She partnered with Betty Gale and they spent several years researching and planning the ultimate boarding facility. They both gave up corporate positions in favor of building a pet care facility.

Their hard work and true passion for animals has gone into creating one of the finest pet boarding, grooming and training facilities in the country. They have put together an experienced management team who share the same passion, Lynn Fruchey, DVM and Melody Hilburn. Both pet and eco-friendly, Stay N Play Pet Ranch® is their dream brought to life. As Charlotte so frequently says: “These babies are living, breathing, loving creatures who deserve no less than our full care and attention.” All decisions made at Stay N Play® are based on “what is best for the pets in our care.” Charlotte and Betty welcome you to come in and visit us at any time during our regular business hours to tour our facility.

Lynn Fruchey, DVM is Director of Kennel Operations at Stay N Play®.

A retired veterinarian, Lynn comes to Texas with over 30 years experience in the boarding kennel and pet care industry. She has been breeding and showing her beloved Gordon Setters since 1976 and competes in Conformation, Obedience, Agility, Tracking and Hunt Tests.  Her philosophy toward pet care is to treat our clients’ pets as well, or better, than her own.  Originally from Wyoming, Lynn is learning to embrace humidity and is definitely NOT a Yankee!

 

Melody Hilburn, Director of Business Operations

Having been a customer before an employee, Melody Hilburn was a Director in the communication field for over 15 years. She managed 51 retail stores with over 150 employees which drives her desire for outstanding customer service. She wants our customers, along with their pets, to have a wonderful experience each time they visit Stay N Play Pet Ranch®. She is an active member of the PAWS Shelter and Humane Society Board.
